As the research company Statista has summarized, painkillers are expected to generate sales of over 922 million euros in Germany by 2029. According to their analysts, Germany has seen solid growth in the painkiller market in recent years.

Data collected by the data research institute Statista in 2015 showed that Slovenia and Italy were among the countries with the highest prices in Europe. Here, 10 tablets cost over €2.30, while in Romania and Bulgaria the same quantity of the drug was available for under €0.50. When comparing online prices for the drug, the drug from the manufacturer Ratiopharm is also the price leader in Germany. Other manufacturers appear to be able to offer paracetamol at a cheaper price.
The record consumers of painkillers in 2023 were the populations of the USA and China. Painkillers generated sales of US$ 6.9 billion and US$ 4.6 billion in these nations, respectively.
