The convenience of transferring money with PayPal is nothing new. You simply enter the desired amount and the recipient's email address. Always be on your guard if you receive a message claiming that someone has mistakenly transferred money to your PayPal account—after all, they made a mistake entering the email address. Such cases have occurred frequently. Unfortunately, there's more to it than that.
In isolated cases, the targets were confronted with small amounts, at best, that suddenly landed in their payment service provider's account. They were then asked to return the amount as a "Family and Friends" payment option. If you are kind enough to comply with this request, this can even prove fatal. Because the payments may have been processed through buyer protection. A refund was returned by the victims via a private payment option. However, the buyer protection remains active. After the fraudster receives your payment, they have their payment reversed through the buyer protection system; the amount is debited from the victims twice.
Prevention:
If you have unknown deposits in your PayPal account, you can only debit them using the refund function. You can access this in the details section of the transaction item.
